Join our team Hino Central is looking for Heavy-Duty Technician Journeyman at our Langley BC locations Reporting to the Parts and Service Manager, the Heavy-Duty Technician is responsible for providing repairs and maintenance to various heavy & medium duty transport trucks. This position will employ logic and deductive reasoning in diagnosing and troubleshooting in an independent environment.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Assess work orders, diagnose faults and malfunctions by examining the vehicle, using testing equipment, and carrying out test drives
- Dismantle faulty assemblies and repair or replace worn or damaged parts
- Reassemble, adjust and test new or repaired components
- Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups
- Provide detail about repairs so others understand what work has been done, on general vehicle conditions, and future repair requirements
- Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards on a continuous basis.
- Contribute to safety and efficiency by participating in safety meetings and incident investigations
- Help develop Heavy-Duty Technician apprentices

**What you’ll bring**:

- Journeyperson Heavy-Duty Technician or Truck & Transport Mechanic trade qualification is required
- Red-Seal Certification is preferred
- Valid CVIP/MVI license (or qualifies to obtain one)
- A minimum of a valid class 5 Provincial driver’s license
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Cummins experience is an asset
- Good all-round knowledge of the trucking industry, part of your experience preferably being with an OEM affiliated dealer.
