Our vision is **Together, creating health care excellence for our community**.** Reporting to the Manager, Transforming Care, the Process Improvement Associate serves as support for the organization, hospital staff and the Transforming Care Office.
- Responsible for operational support in the use of Lean principles to achieve and sustain changes to organizational
- Supports building Lean capacity amongst hospital staff increasing the overall capacity for continuous improvement through the design, delivery, and evaluation of education and training opportunities, and one-on-one coaching, mentorship, and support.
- Works with other members of the Transforming Care Office to develop tools, support analysis and implement strategies for the achievement of continuous improvement goals Providing one on one coaching, mentoring and support to individual leaders, staff and improvement teams

This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic Associate to show-case their strengths and talents in LEAN process improvement, being able to coach staff on Operational Excellence leadership behaviours, embed lean thinking in daily operations, assist in creating a network of internal coaches and connecting lean thinking to strategy planning.

**HOURS**:
**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- Post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Health-related Discipline or Lean Continuous Improvement
- Healthcare experience in Continuous Improvement/Lean preferred
- Knowledge of Lean Management System preferred
- Knowledge with various concepts; PDCA, A3 thinking, visual management flow Lean consulting and evidence based leadership experience preferred
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation development
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills, and the ability to design and deliver effective presentations.
- Knowledge of effective change management
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing/collaborating with diverse professional stakeholder groups.
- Experience with (re)designing and optimizing processes, resource utilization, workflow, and patient/customer experience.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging, informative and well-organized presentations.
- Demonstrated thoroughness and attention to detail
- Ability to express ideas clearly, confidently and directly and work through conflicts and differences in a respectful way
- Ability to act as a mentor and understand the feelings, concerns and needs of other people, demonstrate care and interest towards them and establish and maintain productive relationships
- Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and be flexible in an active work environment
- Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and self-reflection.
- Acceptable performance and attendance record.
