**Full Job Description**

As a live-in personal caregiver, the purpose of this role is to support our 96-year old grandmother and provide individualized care and companionship.

**The Work You Will Do**

As a **Personal Caregiver**, you will provide high-quality and compassionate care for our dear family member.
- Provide standard care and assistance with basic and instrumental activities of daily living. Examples include providing personal companionship, meal prep, housekeeping, personal care, fall prevention, medication reminders, dementia care, bathing, dressing, toileting, skin care, hospital discharge, and palliative care.
- Ensure on an ongoing basis that the emotional, physical comfort, and safety of our loved one are met to the greatest possible extent.
- Maintain awareness of patient’s abilities, current diagnosis made by medical professionals, diet, personal interests, and special needs

In this role, you will assist with our grandmother’s basic personal care and help her manage day-to-day living activities, so that she can continue living at home while giving family members respite from the demands of caring for aging parents or loved ones. As a live-in caregiver, you will provide our grandmother with the best possible care and support.

**KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS ESSENTIAL**
1. Attentive to detail
2. Takes care to complete tasks fully and well
3. Well organized
4. Great English communication skills
6. Responsible attitude

7. Must understand the basics of good sanitation and sterile techniques

8. Physical ability to lift up to 20 - 150 lbs (occasional to frequent), prolonged walking, standing, and reaching

9. Reliable, enthusiastic, able to prioritize, and to follow detailed instructions without direct supervision

**KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS DESIRABLE**
Russian-speaking skills (not necessary, but preferable)
Some experience with meal preparation would be an asset

- at least 5 years of experience with elderly as a caregiver/sitter
- experience within a PSW environment is crucial

**Salary**: $15.50-$16.00 per hour
