**SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS**
As a Machine Operator - Laser and Waterjet Cut, you will be responsible for cutting metal using laser and waterjet cutting machines
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Accurately read work order details and verify the package has all required information for completing the laser cutting task
- Follow detail of work order procedures; gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job
- Verify quantity, measurements, and quality of material to cut
- Accurately read blueprints, drawings, and measurements to perform the task
- Plan the sequences of operation to achieve maximum efficiency
- Chart machine performance and administer routine checks/maintenance to achieve optimal precision and tolerances
- Operate cranes, carts, dollies, and pump trucks to load/unload and transport goods
- Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered
- Ensure task is completed efficiently and on time
- Inspect finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications and they are of correct quantity
- Perform routine maintenance on laser cutting machines
- Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**SKILLS/ABILITIES**
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in laser cutting operations
- Able to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate laser cutting machines, controls, and operations
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, hand sketches, and mechanical drawings
- Attention to detail; adherence to all standards of quality and safety
- Addressing machine malfunctions in an efficient and expedited manner
- Excellent ability to read and listen to instruction given in a variety of forms
- Excellent problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and analytical abilities

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Mechanical Technician - CNC Programming (MTCP) Collage diploma is required

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- Have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work
- Able to see details at close range
- Able to operate laser cutting machines and perform all laser cutting task
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds manually and safely
- Able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials
- The physical requirements include, but are not limited to, standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, handling, kneeling, crouching and bending

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
