**Job Title: TackleShare Communication Assistant (Fishing Leading)**

**Rate of Pay**: $17.00 per hour + 4% vacation pay

The _**Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH)**_ is the oldest and largest non-profit, non-government fish and wildlife conservation organization in Canada. The OFAH represents more than 100,000 members, subscribers and supporters. The _**OFAH TackleShare**_ program is a national award-winning program that is designed to encourage new and novice anglers to go fishing by providing access to fishing gear from over 140 loaner-sites throughout Ontario.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Teach the public how to fish remotely via recording video content of fishing instruction, how-to, DIYs, tips, and tricks, etc.;
- Research, design, film, and edit fishing video content for the TackleShare YouTube channel;
- Identify and travel to fishing locations to record video content of you fishing;
- Assist with maintaining TackleShare social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram);
- Assist in the planning and executing of TackleShare social media marketing strategies;
- Respond to social media comments and direct messages in a timely manner; and
- Assist with the shipment of materials to program participants.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Minimum of one year college or university education in communications, English, journalism, broadcasting, public relations, or equivalent work-related experience in the relevant fields.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Excellent computer skills, including video editing software, desktop publishing and design, and filing and management;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to use diplomacy and tact;
- Ability to take direction, work well within a team and manage independent assignments;
- Advanced literacy and the ability to write using clear language;
- Strong photography/videography and marketing skills; and
- Social media knowledge and experience (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

**Other Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s licence (class G);
- Valid fishing licence;
- Valid emergency first aid with level A CPR certification and AED (as a minimum);
- Valid criminal record check; and
- Valid OFAH membership.

**Asset**:

- Pleasure craft operators card; and
- Understanding of fish and wildlife conservation, fishing, or hunting.

The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) stays informed in regards to the current public and workplace health and safety measures surrounding infectious diseases from federal, provincial and municipal levels of government, and provides regular updates to our staff. We have a workplace safety plan and training in place for our staff, and update our plan and training when workplace health and safety measures are implemented or revised by government and public health officials.
