Greenhouse Supervisor

The Labour Supervisor is responsible for managing the labour workforce and ensuring supervision of assistants and greenhouse workers. The incumbent must be highly organized and results oriented, with a strong commitment to quality and teamwork, to meet or exceed expectations of the company. and its clients. Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will play a key role to complete day-to-day greenhouse and field vegetable operations and manages seasonal business planning.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure crop work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Motivate workers while supervising them and work beside them at times
- Aid in pest monitoring and helping staff identify pest and disease problems
- Recognize and report problems with equipment, structure,, etc.
- ability to diagnose crop needs and requirements and act in a timely and correct manner to address all situations
- Proficient record keeper and familiar with all laws and regulations pertaining to greenhouse production and food safety
- Ensure cleanliness and organization within designated greenhouse areas
- Supervise yearly activities such as crop clean-out and planting of new crop in areas where required
- Ensure Health & Safety programs and Food Safety Policies are followed
- Maintain constant and daily communication with other departments that require regular input from the greenhouses
- Report and request work orders for all greenhouse maintenance issues (structural, equipment, heating, irrigation)
- Other duties as assigned
