Edmonton, Canada TRAC Engine Services Ltd. Full time

We are looking for an energetic individual to help in our busy shop located on the West-end of Edmonton.

Since 1969, TRAC Engine Services Ltd has been proudly providing heavy-duty engine machining services in Edmonton on both diesel and natural gas engines to support the mining, oilfield, industrial, commercial, construction and agricultural sectors of Western Canada. TRAC is a full-service engine machine shop, specializing in repairing and machining engine blocks, crankshafts, cylinder heads, connecting rods off all varying makes and models - such as Caterpillar, Cummins, John Deere, Waukesha, Arrow, Komatsu, etc.

**Job Summary**

**Driver Responsibilities**
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to various locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and security of the freight
- Follow traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a clean driving record
- Perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles. Such as checking oil, and tire pressure
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher and team members
- Adhere to delivery schedules and deadlines

**In-Shop Responsibilities**
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments
- Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment (forklift)
- Prepare packages for shipment, paint engine components
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the warehouse
- Dismantle engine components and prep for cleaning
- Operation of overhead cranes to move heavy parts
- Cleaning of various engine components with the use of specialty shop equipment
- Friendly, personable, and able to represent the company
- Mechanical knowledge or experience in a similar role
- Ability to learn how to assemble, disassemble, and repair various types of equipment
- Experience operating forklifts and power tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to work with a close knit team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Driver or in a similar role
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
- Ability to operate heavy equipment or forklifts is a plus
- Commercial driving experience is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions

**Wages are negotiable based upon experience**

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
