**Purpose of Job**:

- The Accounts Payable Clerk provides accounts payable processing, vendor pay run, and financial record keeping

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Check, verify and process AP invoices
- Gather supporting invoices for weekly vendor pay runs
- Write cheques for weekly disbursement
- Send weekly payment remittances to vendors
- Review monthly statement of accounts sent from vendors
- Send monthly statement of accounts to customers
- Monitor and track prepaid expenses
- Communication with vendors when required
- Work on special projects as required

**Health and Safety Responsibilities**:

- All required PPE while in plant
- Work safe & ergonomically by following JH&S policies
- Enforce and promote workplace safety
- Report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents across the plant

**Knowledge, Skills and Education**:

- Minimum 2-year College Diploma specializing in Accounting
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Problem-solving
- Teamwork and dedication to owning this role
- Independent working
- Computer proficiency for accounting software along with Microsoft office products
