Live-in Caregiver for Elderly in Red Deer, Alberta

1) Applicant must be female and MUST be inside Canada now

2) Applicant must be willing to work in Red Dear, AB (on live-in arrangement)

3) Applicant must have a work permit or study permit if she is not yet a permanent resident or a Canadian Citizen. (those on tourist or visitor visa are not qualified)

4) Applicant must have full-time, paid "work experience" providing care for elderly

5) Applicant must be willing and skilled to provide care for an age 94 elderly female who is paralyzed waist down, uses wheelchair, sling & ceiling mounted lift

6) Applicant must have a degree in nursing (LPN or RN) ,must be skilled in inserting and removing catheter, and has experience & knowledge with Paraplegic care and memory lapses

7) Applicant must be willing to work 3.5 days a week, from Thursday at 5AM until Sunday noon

8) Applicant will be responsible for the following tasks: Showering her; Dressing; Hair blow drying & styling; Dispensing medications; Keeping daily record (of blood pressure, temperature, liquid intake); Planning & Preparing daily meals & snacks; Grocery chopping online; Shopping for her clothes; Walking her around the neighborhood; Accompanying her when visiting friends and going to appointments; Recording appointments in Calendar

9) Applicant must be nurturing, dependable, pro-active, diligent and willing to do light house work and laundry.
