Operations Manager

Charlottetown, Canada Growers Station Inc Full time

Key Responsibilities:
Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.

Improves service by communicating and training staff to understand customer and producer needs.

Oversee all aspects of shipping and receiving operations, including scheduling, inventory management, order fulfillment and invoice updates.

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.

Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the freshness and integrity of all products.

Develop and maintain efficient workflows and processes to optimize productivity and minimize waste.

Train, mentor, and supervise a team of 6 staff members, providing feedback and support to help them succeed in their roles.

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.

Collaborate with producers to coordinate order fulfillment and inventory management activities.

Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.

Handle any customer inquiries or complaints related to shipping and receiving operations in a timely and professional manner.

Report to the board of directors monthly.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the produce wholesale industry.

Proven track record of successfully managing shipping and receiving operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve common goals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, customers, and vendors.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet business demands.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.

**Salary**: $53,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
