Forno Cultura is a 3rd generation alternative baking space with a keen interest in serving our communities with artisanal crafted and the highest quality landscape of offerings. Our ethos in our culinary approach is centered around Cucina de la Campagna and seasonality that is so robust with our local food growers.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prep and assemble ingredients for production
- Executes food production in accordance recipes & standards
- Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
- Collaborate with the parallel departments to ensure production needs are met
- Be a team player and show strong morale for team-work within the culinary team.
- Develop and plan menus and daily specials along with the team
- Manage time well, and ensure prep lists are executed efficiently
- Manage inventory
- Maintain all standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.
- Follow established maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures such as FIFO(First In First Out)
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift

**POTENTIAL GROWTH PATHS**
TEAM LEAD
As a team leader you will begin your training in leadership and department management. Additional responsibilities will include administrative tasks such as ordering, creating pars, creating task lists, creating special and seasonal menus.
ASSISTANT MANAGER- SAVOURY DEPARTMENT
In this role you will assist the production manager in hiring, training, working directly with suppliers, food costing, menu creation, seasonal calendar and ingredient procurement.
MANAGER- SAVOURY AND PREPARED FOODS
In this role you will lead the department. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring and managing culinary teams. You will manage food costing and inventory and ensure the highest standards in culinary production. You will be administratively responsible for all HR, Supplier relationships, your department profit and loss and procurement of seasonal ingredients.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-44 per week
**Salary**: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
