**Shift**:Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

**Location**: Remote - Alberta only

**Position Summary**

You will be an integral part of our journeys, ensuring that we can continue to provide reliable, accurate and compassionate services to our patients, referring physicians and our employees.

You will be working as part of a team that prides itself on providing precise, high quality technical reporting. You will be expected to work with mínimal supervision and direction, which means you will need to be a self-starter and confident in your transcription abilities.

**Major Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- Provide overall medical transcription support to the department.
- Report to work on time, showing dependability.
- Organize and prioritize assigned work and schedule time to accommodate work demands.
- Provide team support as required.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
- Communicate in a positive and cooperative manner.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Share information with team.
- Handle difficult situations in a sensitive and proactive manner.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge**
- Excellent grammatical, syntax, editing and punctuation skills.
- Attention to detail, concern for accuracy and critical thinking.
- Superior listening skills, focus and concentration.
- General knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and billing codes.
- Keyboarding proficiency, ability to type 75+ words per minute.
- Managing large volumes of work under deadlines.
- Disciplined work habits.

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 diploma required.
- Successful completion of a recognized program in Medical Transcription required.
- 1 to 2 years' recent experience and knowledge of diagnostic imaging processes preferred.
