**Job Description**:
As an integral member of the pharmacy team, Pharmacy Technicians perform tasks to ensure the correct medications are available for patients in a safe and timely manner. They provide the technical component of the medication management system. Pharmacy technicians may rotate through a number of technical positions including, dispensing, unit dose cart fills, automated dispensing unit restocks, sterile and non-sterile compounding, narcotic distribution, and repackaging. Pharmacy Technicians play an important role in patient safety through completion of Best Possible Medication Histories. Travel to offsite locations may be required.

**Qualifications**:

- Registered Pharmacy Technician, in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Graduate of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician College Program
- Minimum two years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of technical rotations and pharmacy automation systems
- Good understanding of automated distribution systems
