Under the direction of the Director of Property Management or designate, the Machine Operator will be responsible to perform with accuracy and minimum supervision, the following duties, among others:

- Receive print and photocopy requisitions, calculate volumes, determine scheduling requirements, ensure that there are sufficient stock/supplies on hand for orders, and process orders to completion.
- Maintain sufficient inventory of printing and photocopy supplies, place orders securing the most advantageous prices, compare shipments received with sales order, invoices, and requisitions to verify accuracy and process invoices for payment, and maintain stock/supplies in an orderly manner.
- Keep track of special national activities such as national conventions and conferences, national executive board meetings, etc., liaise with National President’s and National Secretary-Treasurer’s offices and departmental staff to determine expected photocopy projects, monitor receipt of projects, follow-up on undelivered photocopy requisitions, ensure that photocopy projects are completed consistent with prescribed formats.
- Perform routine maintenance on photocopiers, place service calls as required.
- Receive, sort, redirect or fulfil orders to completion from CUPE’s online store, ensure payments are received when appropriate, keep track of inventory, coordinate with departments as necessary, maintain accurate records of monthly orders and report as required.
- Receive incoming calls, place outgoing calls, respond to general inquiries and provide general information, as required.
- Provide relief to and/or assist the maintenance/stockroom clerks, as required.
- Operate all job-related equipment efficiently.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Secondary education diploma and three to five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience;
- Operate reproduction equipment, calculator and folding equipment;
- A high degree of accuracy, self-motivation, practical knowledge of general office procedures, demonstrated organizational abilities, and business math skills are essential;
- Ability to effectively establish priorities and meet deadlines while working in a high-pressure work setting;
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy boxes;
- Ability to perform maintenance functions relative to office buildings, equipment and furniture;
- Good oral and written English communication skills.

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT** as set out in the collective agreement between CUPE and COPE Local 491.

**Salary**: From $46.12 per hour
