Hydrovac Operator

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate hydrovac trucks and equipment for safe excavation of underground utilities.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety.
- Collaborate with crew members to plan excavation projects and ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job site conditions and any issues encountered.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, identifying mechanical issues as they arise.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.
- Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety practices.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as Caterpillar, graders, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively.
- Experience with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is required.
- Ability to dig safely around existing utilities while minimizing disruption.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
