**The Team**
In the Environmental Assessment Office Operations Division, you'll join an established team of approximately 17 professionals who conduct environmental assessments across a range of sectors, including mining, natural gas, and power. This team works closely with experts in policy, Indigenous relations, and other fields to promote sustainability, protect the environment, and support the well-being of communities in British Columbia. **Qualifications**:
Education and Experience Requirements
- University degree related to the Natural Resource and/or the Environmental Sector, in Public Administration, Economics, or in Law, plus 1 year of related experience; OR,
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Related experience must include:
- Experience in the identification and evaluation of information required to support critical decision-making processes.
- Experience in planning, conducting research and analysis to support the development of project proposals.
- Experience identifying options and providing recommendations to senior staff.
- Experience managing multiple work priorities under pressure and within critical timeline constraints.
- Experience building and maintaining strategic working relationships with colleagues, clients and outside agencies and interests.
- Preference may be given for those with one of more of the following:
- Experience working with Indigenous communities or organizations. This experience may have been gained in a professional, community or volunteer setting.
- Experience working in the Natural Resource Sector.
- Applicants who self-identify as Black, Indigenous or a person of colour (BIPOC), people who identify as LGBTQ2S+ and/or people with disabilities
