Freelance Photo Editor

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Photo Editor to join our team. You will be responsible for enhancing and re-touching images of individuals in small to large group formats - as large as 100 people, in some cases - in semi-formal attire in front of professional studio backdrops, as well as in Catholic Churches and Basement Halls across the City of Vaughan.

You will collaborate with many photographers and editors and join a team that will ensure the highest quality content is delivered on time. If you have a passion for photography, are very well organized and have a tremendous eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit and re-touch images to enhance their overall quality
- Minor facial blemish touch-ups (pimples, lens flares on glasses, hotspots on foreheads, etc.)
- Adjust colours, exposure, and composition to achieve desired results
- Crop and resize images according to specific requirements
- Ensure consistency in style and branding across all photographs
- Collaborate with photographers and other team members to understand project deadlines and deliver on client expectations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in photo editing software and techniques

QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Photo Editor or similar role - Examples Required
- Proficient in photo editing with ADOBE Photoshop for Mac - Intermediate Level
- Proficient in photo editing with ADOBE Lightroom for Mac - Intermediate Level
- Google Drive will be used daily and is an integral part of the success of the season
- Strong understanding of colour correction, re-touching and image manipulation techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet hard deadlines
- Knowledge of file formats, resolution, and image optimization for use across various platforms
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members - Communication is paramount

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Freelance
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
