The Financial Analyst - General Accounting (GA) will work as an integral member of a highly skilled financial team. In this position, you will be responsible for journaling, reconciling, analyzing, and evaluating simple to complex financial information. You will be required to keep abreast of key trends in the finance profession and the financial industry, as well as collecting and analyzing data to gain a better understanding about what impacts financial results. You will also work with the divisional team to complete routine, financial, and operational work.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:

- Expense Analysis
- Cash Requirements Analysis
- Preparing Monthly Journal Entries and Analysis of accounts
- Cash Flow Analysis
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Financial report generation and presentation
- Provide financial analysis support to other divisions of TransForm;
- Creation of variety of supporting schedules such as the Out-of-Scope report, the 3rd Party report, Revenue reconciliations and Position Control.
- Quarterly reports and forecast for the remainder of the fiscal year.
- Budget preparation support to determine the needs and requests of the Managers/Directors/Chiefs

**WE VALUE**:

- CPA designation or in progress of working towards certification, is preferred
- An understanding of, and experience with MOHLTC MIS guidelines is an asset

**MUST- HAVES**:

- Four (4) year University Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Four to six (4-6) years of experience in finance
- Experience and thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of financial business objectives and managing competing priorities
- Understanding of hospital stakeholders, client service delivery methodologies and overall issues and priorities within the healthcare sector
- Effective communication and presentation skills that will include exposure to many different functional groups within & external to the organization
- Ability to use computer finance planning and modeling tools (knowledge of business budgeting and forecasting) and ability to train on analytical tools

**OTHER CONDITIONS**:

- Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position: exposed to stress and pressure associated with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, when required
