**Job Description**:

The De Beers Group of Companies has an opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated individual to join the Business Improvement department at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site based in the Northwest Territories.

**JOB SUMMARY**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Leverage Lean Six Sigma techniques to provide process and business improvement advice to leaders to identify and deliver sustainable improvements;
- Deliver value through leading approved business improvement initiatives associated with creating business case, project set-up, design, project charter, gap analysis, implementation, execution and change management phases and cycles with multi-disciplinary teams and various stakeholders;
- Work with the site teams in the collection, collation and analysis of operational data to identify initiatives to produce stability, reduce variability, increase capability and achieve benchmark performance, towards our burning ambition;
- Lead KPI reporting changes to align with Group Standards and business expectations;
- Work with the site teams to improve the functionality of their processes and KPI’s (Lean Boards);
- Assist with implementation and coaching of stakeholders on the Anglo-American Operating Model (AAOM), including Operational Planning, Work Management, KPI development, Analyze and Improve and more;
- Maintain and improve the Operating Master Schedules with stakeholders;
- Collaborate with department leads in identifying key business risks and opportunities and evaluate Strategic Business Plan inputs; and
- Maintain and improve Business Structure Performance (BSP) model and procedures with Group level Technical Leads and assess Strategic Business Plan confidence.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or related field;
- Lean Six Sigma qualifications will be advantageous and not a prerequisite.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Mining, Process or Maintenance Engineering field within the Mining Industry.
- 1 to 2 years’ Experience in Business Improvement and Project Management methodologies and processes.
- Experience in strategy implementation and business planning in business units.
- Experience working at a remote mining site and in a cross-cultural work environment.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong facilitation skills and techniques.
- Good knowledge of change management methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to Safety, Health and Environment Standards.
