**About the Role**:
The Visitor Experience Supervisor is part of the Visitor Experience team ensuring all visitors, members, and donors receive outstanding customer service when they visit the Gallery, supervise and share information with visitors about exhibitions, programs, membership, fundraising events, and all other AGGV activities or initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys interacting with visitors and creating a welcoming, engaging environment. This position supervises the front of house staff when the Visitor Experience Coordinator is on their scheduled days off.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Proactively supports all aspects of serving and engaging with visitors in AGGV's various public and programming spaces.
- Maintains a welcoming environment by supporting a team of visitor experience staff who are engaged with and can articulate visitor experience and audience engagement.
- Responsible for monitoring the visitor experience in conjunction with the Visitor Experience Coordinator to ensure alignment with the AGGV mission and strategic plan.
- Under the direction of the Visitor Experience Coordinator, supervises visitor experience staff including coaching and training and may be included in recruitment and selection as required.
- Monitors the reception, lobby, and programming areas of the Gallery to ensure visitor comfort, visitor and staff safety and security.
- Is the primary contact for gallery staff and visitors for incidents or emergencies when the position is the most senior position in the gallery

**What We're Looking For**:

- 2+ years of experience in Customer Service or Learning and Engagement.
- Previous experience supervising staff, delegating tasks, and setting priorities is preferred.
- Post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with POS systems (Profitek preferred).
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
