**Responsibilities**:
**ABOUT THE JOB**:
The Finance Department of Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS), is a global organization with local presence, providing the same set of services through global and efficient processes and consistent norms, leveraging on production hubs.

- Quality and timeliness of GBIS financial statements
- Assisting GBIS management and all Business Lines in their steering with actionable reports on financial performance and forecasts
- Preparation of Tax documents and respect the filing deadlines.
- Follow-up, analyze and communicate upcoming changes in tax regulation.
- Financial and tax communication with local and regional management
- Providing expertise, prudential and tax norms and ensuring the compliance of these norms.
- Oversee and execute cross-business projects in the financial and regulatory areas on tax topics

**What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?**

For our Services companies providing support in tax expertise, tax reporting and financial analysis of the tax impacts on our local entities.

Tax compliance
- Serve as Point of Contact for all tax topics with the regional and local management in Canada. Drive the local tax impact analysis.
- Prepare the RC-7294 and RC-7291 GST/HST and QST tax schedules and file these returns for two entities.
- Prepare NR4 statement and monthly payments or credit for the non-residents of Canada.
- Strong coordination with the accounting team in Canada and the regional Tax department in New York as well the Accounts Payables (AP) team in Canada to ensure optimal quality of the production of reports and other input data in the tax process.

Tax credits
- Oversight of documentation of the CDAE and CFI tax documentation for the local tax credits.
- Determination of the eligibility of projects and expenses, calculation of tax credits for salaries and wages and preparation of technical reports and statutory tax forms.
- Responsible of the communication and answering the tax questions from the local authorities regarding tax credits.

Other Tax responsibilities
- Help, assist and review the filing of the T5008 (Statement of Securities Transaction) and RL18 (transactions de titres) with our external tax consultants
- Responsible of the FATCA reporting, financial accounts identified as being directly or indirectly held by at least one “Specified US Person” must be annually reported to US Tax authorities.
- Responsible of the CRS reporting, financial institutions located in a country involved in the CRS to identify non-resident clients and report them to their tax administrations.
- In charge of the update of the monthly Income tax and Sales tax provision, monthly Instalments (income tax + Sales Tax) and the QI (1042-S, 1099)
- In charge of updating and maintaining the tax procedures

- General/Technical Skills: Ability to work independently with tight deadlines, Good analytical and communication skills
- Years of Experience 5 years +
- Basic accounting knowledge

**Education**
- Diploma : (DESS) in Etudes supérieures en Fiscalité

**Languages**:

- French and English: Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.

**Nice to Have**:

- General/ Technical Skills: Must be well organized and detail oriented, must be able to perform multiple tasks and adapt to a changing work environment, and must be a team player.
