Continual Energy Inc. provides turn-key design and execution of highly efficient mechanical systems utilizing cutting edge technology and software. Our multi-disciplinary team provides hands-on exposure to mechanical design, software development (including machine learning, artificial intelligence, and optimization), controls deployment, energy modeling, and research and development. Continual has 5 major divisions that work together to provide complete solutions to our customer:

- Design and construction of large central heating and cooling plants utilizing the latest heat pump technology.
- Zero Carbon system design for new buildings or decarbonization of existing buildings utilizing the latest heat pump technology.
- Commercial/industrial controls and automation.
- Building Automation Systems, Automated Fault Detection Analytics, Optimization and 24/7 Service and Support.
- Professional services

We are currently looking for a qualified individual to create and edit drawings and documentation for use in the implementation of heating, cooling, and ventilation controls and optimization projects for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Report to engineering manager to create and edit drawings from design references.
- Draft drawings from design sketches and briefs, including but not limited to:

- Network drawings.
- System layout and instrumentation drawings.
- Panel and electrical schematic drawings.
- Schedules for systems and components.
- Datasheet packages.
- Participate in design review meetings and implement corrections from review markups.
- Assemble documentation packages for submission to meet project requirements.
- Daily office work required from Monday through Friday, with occasional travel to project sites within GTA.

**Skills Required**:

- Familiarity with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software including:

- Microsoft Visio
- AutoCAD
- BricsCAD
- Ability take direction, work in a fast-paced team and collaborative environment, multi-task, and maintain organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Very comfortable with Windows-based computer systems and Microsoft Office.

Additional desired skills, but not required:

- Knowledge of mechanical Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems.
- Industry experience with Building Automation and Direct Digital Controls (DDC).

**Qualifications and Education Required**:

- Diploma, degree, and/or equivalent relevant experience in related field.

**Compensation**:

- Commensurate with experience.
- Three (3) weeks of vacation.
- Ten (10) paid days off (sick days).
- Health benefits package after ninety (90) day probationary period, includes dental and vision.
- Potential for tuition reimbursement.

**Schedule**:

- Typical work week is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Occasional overtime or after-hours/weekend work required.

**COVID-19 Considerations**:

- Proof of vaccination as required by client sites and general contractors.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including masks, rapid testing, etc.

**Other**:

- Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada.
- Capable of passing an Ontario Contractor Security Screening Check (no criminal record).
- Be prepared to show a portfolio of your work.
