Is currently seeking a 7 month contract position for our
Intake Coordinator
The **Intake Coordinator** role with MacKay Manor Inc. will be the initial point of contact for clients and acts as a resource for referral sources. The ability to interact with staff, patients and referral sources in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. The ideal individual has the capacity to work well under tight timelines while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. This person must be exceptionally well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of supporting the clients we serve.
**Service Responsibilities**:
Remain current with new policies, training, services, and resources applicable to the mental health community.
Promote the principles of diversity and equity in all work-related duties, whenever applicable
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
Responsible for managing the admission dates to ensure space is available.
Demonstrates effective communication with all levels of staff.
Demonstrates professionalism in all areas and follows policies and procedures.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in a human services field from an accredited college or university
Technically proficient with excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Catalyst and EMHware
Ability to communicate in an effective, polished, and timely manner
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
Training or experience working with a population who have experienced trauma or adverse life events is preferred.
French verbal and written ability is an asset
A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector clearance
**Working Conditions**:
Work environment is based primarily at the treatment facility.
May be exposed to infectious and communicable diseases; working with individuals who have a history of trauma and being aggressive
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
Moderate physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, moving items, etc.
Salary range: 18.75/hr - 22.00/hr
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
