**The Opportunity**

As the Student, Energy & Environment, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

- Provide support to the Energy and Environment Team to integrate climate change considerations into planning and development through the following projects/tasks:

- Administrative and research support for the Town’s Green Development Standards project;
- Support with research to inform a scope of work for Energy and Emissions and Adaptation Studies for new Secondary Plans;
- Administrative support for the Sustainable Residential Home Strategy;
- Review of the Town’s Zoning By-law and Urban Design Guidelines updates;
- Support with the final review of Caledon’s Official Plan Update and ensuring strong climate change policies
- Assist with other Energy & Environment Division programs and projects, such as community events, engagement activities, and other projects.
- Coordination of the West Bolton SNAP project.
- Coordination of the Town’s Tree Seedling Program pick up day.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Intern enrolled in a bachelor or masters level program (or graduated within the past year) in the fields of planning policy, environmental studies or similar program. We are seeking an individual with a background or specialization in planning policy and environment/climate change, a demonstrated ability to work independently, think creatively and pay attention to detail.

This position offers a wage rate of $17.14 - $21.71 per hour.
