**The job description typically includes the following tasks**:
Operating a forklift in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.

Loading and unloading materials onto and off of trucks, pallets, and storage racks.

Transporting materials to different areas of the warehouse or production floor.

Checking and maintaining the forklift truck to ensure it is in good working order.

Inspecting materials and loads for damage and ensuring that they are properly secured.

Recording the movement of materials and supplies in a logbook or computer system.

Collaborating with other warehouse or production team members to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members.

**Qualifications for a counterbalance forklift operator include**:
A valid forklift operator's license.

Minimum 1 year of experience required as a forklift operator.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, often weighing up to several tons.

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Basic computer skills to record and maintain inventory records.

Physical stamina to work long hours and in a variety of conditions, including cold or hot temperatures.

**Shift Timings:

- 6 am to 2 pm**

**Salary**: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Forklift: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
