Automatic Technician

JOB SUMMARY
JOB DUTIES:
- Installing, servicing, and repairing automatic door operators, doors, sliding doors, and door hardware.
- Conducting site visits and compiling the necessary information to assist the team in building quotes.
- Educating clients on the proper use and care of their automatic doors, and helping them to extend the life of their investment in an automatic entrance system.
- Performing service/installation repair work and preventative maintenance as required for Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment that may be sold or serviced by the branch
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and other property
- Testing equipment before leaving job site and perform safety check
- Maintaining good customer relations and customer service
- Maintaining accurate work records, adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must speak Proficient English
- Bilingualism an asset
- AAADM certification would be an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and prior construction/maintenance experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a solution provider
- Able to read basic blueprints, wiring schematics and product/installation specifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work collaboratively with other tradespeople (in-house and in the field)
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of this industry
- Good oral and written communication skills along with good customer relations and customer service skills.
- Good attendance
- Flexible with hours
Pay: $19.00-$28.00 per hour
