Digital Prepress Operator

Do you have skills in file editing and pre press? Do you have background in colour theory, flexo, shrink sleeves, distortion and digital? Do you have an eye for colour and quality?

Well we have an opportunity for you

We are looking for someone to join our fast-paced production center, in our prepress production area to preflight files, work with our print vendors, and work with customers directly on their artwork and art questions

In early 2023, Fast Track starts digital printing directly onto cans with state-of-the-art equipment A whole new and exciting challenge for the company, with which you will be an integral part of the team managing digital print art files, print quality, color management, and more.

Hours -Afternoon Hours TBD, Mon-Fri

Work Remotely: No - In-Office required

Main tasks and responsibilities:
Communicate clearly and openly to clients and client’s designers about the Customer’s needs and vision to discuss realistic options for realizing the vision

Analyze art files provided by clients and print vendors and assess suitability for printing and double checking all critical aspects of images, texts, fonts, print embellishments, and where they can be printed

Troubleshoot and fix files issues including alignment, colour, clarity, grain and other image problems as manipulating for bleed and binding and trapping

Create proofs for client or design team to review while making any adjustments in response to feedback

Manage spreadsheet tracker to track art submissions, approvals, and changes.

Job Skills & Qualifications:
2-5 years experience in prepress, digital print

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

High level of accuracy - customer’s artwork and accuracy is paramount to produce correctly.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator primarily, and Photoshop) is a must.

Experience using RIP Software (Raster Image Processer) is excellent,, but not required.

Good understanding of design, colour theory, colour spaces and files

Overall computer skills

Preferred:
Three or more years’ experience in manufacturing prepress

Printing experience in related field

**Salary**: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
