Braceworks is the leading Provider of Ankle-foot Orthoses for the treatment of children, youth and adults with complex neuromuscular-skeletal movement disorders. Located on campus at the University of Calgary in the hub of the medical/research community, we operate as a clinic actively involved in applied research in collaboration with the Alberta Children’s Hospital and the University of Calgary.

- time professional management and product development. As a member of our team, you play a key role integrating front-of-house and back-of-house to deliver exceptional service to the pediatric rehabilitation community.

We are seeking a recent graduate of an accredited post-secondary institution with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. This is an entry level position for an energetic and enthusiastic person to gain valuable experience in a community-based clinic delivering timely access to orthotic care for children, youth and adults with chronic neuromuscular-skeletal movement disorders.

**Responsibilities**:
Your primary role is to provide direct support to the Senior Orthotist to maximize his time to perform biomechanical assessments and gait analysis, for the purpose of developing and implementing orthotic treatment plans.

Responsibilities include:

- demonstrating assessment procedures to Clients
- briefing the Senior Orthotist on the Client's history prior to each appointment
- assisting the Senior Orthotist during assessments by recording SOAP notes
- performing follow up on all appointments including placing Technical Specifications with our production team and orders for devices with suppliers
- performing Client Education
- administrative duties including scheduling appointments, rocessing check-in and check-out and, prepping treatment rooms

*Qualifications*
- Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Registration and Certification not required as you will be working under the direct supervision of the Senior Orthotist.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a hospital or clinical setting
- Proficiency in MicroSoft Office 365

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $21.81-$29.72 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
