We are a thriving and expanding manual & CNC machine shop looking for a qualified, hard-working machinist to join our team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
- Set up and adjust production machinery/tools,
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance,
- Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments,
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances,
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers),
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces,
- Set up, operate and maintain conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools (Bridgeport CNC lathe, Ikegai CNC lathe, Fedol Vertical Mill CNC, etc)
- We use GibbsCam programming software, have a number of manual machines and will be adding additonal mills and lathes.

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Abbotsford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:
