**Job Title: Tibco Administrator**
**Job Description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Set up and maintain high availability and disaster recovery configurations for Tibco infrastructure to ensure continuous service availability and data integrity.
Security Management: Implement security measures and access controls to safeguard Tibco environments. Regularly review and update security policies and configurations.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts for automating repetitive tasks and streamline operational processes.
Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify issues and potential bottlenecks. Set up alerting mechanisms to respond to critical incidents promptly.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Tibco Administrator or similar role, with hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and managing Tibco products.
- Solid understanding of messaging technologies, EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), and SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, or Perl) for automation and task scheduling.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Knowledge of system performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery configurations for Tibco environments.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools for Tibco middleware.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience in securing Tibco environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- system administration: 7 years (preferred)
