Calypso Theme Waterpark is seeking a Financial Controller to join our executive management team.

We are looking for a results-driven and confident financial controller to manage Calypso’s financial performance and direct our accounting operations. This senior level management position is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including

Description forecasting, budgeting, timely financial reporting, cash flow management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash control, payroll, ticket processing and federal/provincial tax filings.

Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a financial controller will aid our organization in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support Calypso’s organizational strategy.

The noteworthy financial controller will streamline processes and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, promote compliance in all departments, and drive income generation.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial information, including daily operating reports, capital reports, general ledger, financial statements, forecasts and budgets.
- Oversee Accounts Payable
- Oversee Accounts Receivable
- Oversee Cash Control

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare all HST/GST tax returns
- Complete month end close process
- Prepare bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet Analysis
- Assist the Park President in providing leadership to all departments, including providing strategic direction needed to ensure accurate reporting and planning for the property
- Applicant should have at least 3 years progressive financial experience.
- Bilingual, English and French is an asset

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of entertainment / leisure industry financial operations preferred, as well as strong leadership qualities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting preferred
- Strong Understanding of Canadian tax laws, federal and provincial requirements
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, and computerized financial systems required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains accounting systems a plus
