Perth Community Care Centre is a 121-bed long-term care home in Perth, Ontario that is dedicated to positively enriching the lives of our residents we serve in partnership with UniversalCare, our family members, valued employees and community partners.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Nursing Clerk position is a critical role that provides direct administrative services and support to the Nursing Team.

**As part of our team, your role as a Nursing Clerk contributes to our resident experiences in the following ways**:

- Performs all assigned clerical tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of the nursing department including writing, editing and formatting of documents, filing, mail sorting and delivery, photocopying and maintenance of resident and employee information, etc.
- Schedules tours, care conferences and Committee meetings as directed by the Nursing leadership team.
- Purchases, receives, controls and delivers office and resident care supplies as appropriate.
- Assists Scheduling Clerk with the assignment of shifts on a daily basis and schedules replacement staff as required.
- Acts as backup for the Scheduling Clerk with the preparation of payroll for the nursing department and maintenance of payroll records.
- Works in accordance with the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Secondary school graduate or equivalent education.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and detail oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point and Outlook.
- Minimum of one year experience in scheduling.
- Must posses excellent written and oral communication skills.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector check.
- All applicants must provide proof of being fully vaccinated, except due to legitimate established exceptions.
