Junior Liability Adjuster, Full-Time, Hybrid (Mississauga, ON)

We are currently looking to add experienced Liability Adjusters to our team Can work in a HYBRID environment.

Competencies:
The Independent Adjuster actively adjusts claims while ensuring that business development opportunities are maximized. This involves marketing and follow-up of opportunities in a timely manner. The profile duties create a dynamic portfolio requiring extremely well-honed organizational skills that enable day to day activities to be completed while allowing efficient and effective progress of file management activities.
- Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Onedrive)
- Effective oral skills, including: listening, interviewing, negotiating, and navigating flex style communication appropriate to the audience
- Demonstrate organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner.
- Proactive and positive approach to customer service ensuring that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner.
- Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics.
- Demonstrate the ability to be a team player and willingness to assist and offer input in a collaborative environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations.
- Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.
- Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.

Qualifications & Experience:

- University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance is nice to have.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- CIP designation or working towards designation.
- Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Previous claim adjusting experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of third-party liability claims
- Experience in conducting detailed interviews from various parties involved in the claim’s investigation process.
- Policy review and interpretation to confirm coverage and complete liability investigation.
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate file documentation capture and ensure file expenses records are in order.
- Strong commitment to ongoing education and learning.

Preference will be given to applicants who hold a CIP designation or qualify for a probationary license or higher.
