**JOB SUMMARY**

The Wash Bay Yard Attendant will be responsible for washing and detailing company vehicles, performing general building and property maintenance as directed. The Wash Bay Yard Attendant shall also be responsible for keeping the shop area clean and orderly and will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors and removing rubbish. The Wash Bay Yard Attendant shall ensure that the grounds are maintained appropriately, and responsibilities will vary day to day, encompassing everything from pre-loading trucks to picking up parts as needed to maintaining yard.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Comply and enforce Occupational Health and Safety standards and practices.
- Perform general clean-up of all facilities.
- Sweep, mop, floors, dump garbage and recycle bins.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery as required.
- Organize daily tasks.
- Wash and detail company vehicles
- Organize daily tasks.
- Perform regular property inspections of common areas, building exteriors, and landscape.
- Ensure effective management of maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, ventilation, heating, cooling and other daily activities.
- Provide general status reports for all properties.
- Collect and dispose of all garbage and recyclables.
- Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds etc.
- Maintain working knowledge of environmental safeguards and alarm systems.
- Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep and clean gutters, water and maintain sprinkling systems).
- Plan and prioritize work for self.
- Determine needed supplies and equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor.
- Set priorities for preventative maintenance work orders, maintenance requisitions and scheduled work.
- Prepare, paint and decorate interior and exterior surfaces, as required.
- Drive vehicles, as required.
- Pre-load fuel trucks, as required
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

**EXPEREINCE**
- 3 years of maintenance experience
- Experience in working with the major fuel providers.

**EDUCATION**

High school diploma

**WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office/field setting. There may be a need to attend to situations on work sites.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils may occur. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and listen.

**POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK**
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some overtime and after hours’ work may be required.
