Restoration Technician

Established in 1977, WINMAR® is recognized as one of Canada's largest restoration networks, with over 90 locations across the country; providing emergency and reconstruction services to homes, businesses, industrial and institutional properties. We specialize in water damage, fire and smoke restoration services; mould inspection / removal, as well as damage restoration and disaster recovery. As general contractors, we also specialize in construction, renovation, demolition and other services.

The position: Restoration Technician - WINMAR® Newmarket / York Region is expanding and looking for energetic and highly motivated employees to join our team. This position is full time and offers a competitive wage based on experience and expertise.

General Responsibilities:

- Water extraction
- Setting up and monitoring of drying equipment
- Performing demolitions and other construction tasks
- Cleaning up of debris, removal of drywall, flooring and other materials damaged from water, smoke & fire
- Manipulating contents
- Availability for after hours / on call rotation

Qualifications / Skills:

- Must be fluent in English; other languages considered an asset
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- IICRC certification is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must pass a criminal record check

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
