As the Commercial Specialist you will be responsible for new client growth and expansion of the commercial portfolio through outbound prospecting, client contact and sales activities. You will play a key role in identifying prospects in business markets, servicing clients, determining risks and presenting customized insurance solutions.

**How you will create impact**:

- Conducting inbound and outbound calls to prospect and proactively build a sales pipeline, developing marketing plans to promote insurance offerings, and contributing to the achievement of sales, profitability, and growth goals.
- Completing risk assessments and commercial inspections in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
- Working with clients to review goals, providing risk management advice and recommendations for coverage, completing policy updates, and documenting required changes.
- Conducting policy reviews to identify changing coverage requirements, responding to client inquiries, resolving complaints, and escalating issues as required.
- Participating in events to create brand awareness and developing, maintaining, and cultivating community contacts to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities.

To join our team:

- You have 1-2 years of experience in commercial insurance sales and business development.
- You have a post-secondary education in a related discipline.
- You must hold a General insurance license from AMF in Quebec.
- Having or working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation is an asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
- Proficiency in French is essential to the main duties in this role, including servicing and communicating primarily with majority francophone clients, groups, teams. The essential non-English duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

- You are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance.
- This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.
