**SCOPE**

To efficiently provide maintenance services, including process set-up and or change over, troubleshooting, and process improvements to welding operations within the production/welding facilities in a timely and professional manner

Achieving goals and objectives in the position requires commitment, loyalty, and availability beyond customary working hours. Clover Tool requires all employees to perform their jobs in adherence to plant safety policies and procedures. While in the production area personal protective equipment must be always worn.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Instruct and train employees on the safe operation of all welding operations - equipment, set-up and change over, safety guarding and safe operating practices, product quality method of measure, and the employee responsibility for product quality.
- Troubleshoot all equipment performance issues in conjunction with Maintenance Department personnel in a prompt manner.
- Recommend all process improvements to management, to improve process time and cost improvement methods for both labor and materials.
- Perform all product destructive testing as required per IPIR, correct all processes as necessary, reporting and recording findings.
- Requisition material supplies in a timely manner to ensure production is maintained.
- Perform and required daily welding process parameter checks and inspections to ensure welding process quality.
- Perform routine maintenance including repairs as instructed by the Department Supervisors and Maintenance Manager
- Maintain all inspection records in a legible, organized manner and to the latest revision level.
- Maintain hard copy of all welder programs
- Update and maintain in a secured location all process programs, discs, and records.
- Maintain inventory of all perishable supplies in a secure, organized, well-identified manner.
- Requisition all perishable welding supplies in a timely manner to ensure production is maintained.
- Continually review all welding processes to ensure that they are operating safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance replacement/installation of perishable items consumed during welding process.
- Requisition and/or coordinate maintenance of welding process with the maintenance department and work with Maintenance staff, Toolroom, outside contractors and suppliers as required.
- Operate welding processes as required by supervisor
- Following and updating of process set up sheets (corrections in conjunction with the supervisor)
- May be required to visit customer facilities to perform usual duties, where extended hours may be necessary.
- Develop an understanding of relevant Quality Management Systems
- Other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must be able to read, and communicate effectively with strong comprehension skills.
- Able to read and follow, work and set up instructions diligently
- Must recognize importance of and perform quality control dispensation.
- Background in manufacturing technology
- College Technical education considered an asset
- Team player
- Minimum Secondary School Graduate,
- 8 months minimum related hands on set up and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to maintain ABB robotic cells Mig and Resistance type welders.
- Preferred training in welder process control.
- M.I.G welding experience required.
- M.I.G, T.I.G certificate considered an asset.
