**Summary**

Collins Aerospace is looking to hire **Process Technician - Grit Blast; **who will be reporting to Supervisor, Processing. As the Process Technician - Grit Blast, you will be responsible for maintaining the schedule for grit blast on all programs.

**Shift Hours - **Weekday Afternoon Shift 4X10, Monday - Thursday (4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.)**

**The position is working on-site at Oakville - Ontario Facility**

**Relocation allowance will not be provided.**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Grit blasting of aircraft components in preparation for plating/painting
- Part fixturing, loading and unloading
- Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)
- Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
- Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as required

**Basic Qualifications**
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma. In the absence of HS diploma, 2 years of relevant experience is required

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Prior grit blast machining experience
- Material Handling experience with the ability to lift 40 lbs
- Strong understanding of WHMIS
- Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employee
- Previous formal crane training
