**Job Purpose and Overview**

As a Sanitor, you will be responsible for the sanitation of the plant and the upkeep of the grounds/offices surrounding the facility. Our Sanitors adhere to all sanitation standards set up by IFS and Food Safety Policies, follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and our Plant Safety Policies.

**Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM**

**What will you do as a Sanitor at Dawn Foods?**
- Complete duties as outlined on the MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule) and accurately maintain documentation of Sanitation tasks always performed on the Sanitation checklists 100%
- Perform tasks as per sanitation SOP’s
- Complete corrective actions in a timely manner for any sanitation non-conformances identified in audits or assigned by Supervisor
- Ensure that manufacturing areas and equipment are cleaned according to company standards.
- Adhere to all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP requirements and report on any deficiencies.

- Must be capable of meeting expectations for performing essential duties.
- Must have demonstrated ability and willingness to work productively without supervision.
- Must have good planning and organizational skills.
- Must have ability to make effective use of your time.
- Must have good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must have no restrictions working with chemicals (detergents, bleach, etc.).
- Previous Sanitation experience in the food industry is a definite asset.
- Must have ability to perform physical activities that require use of entire body, such as lifting, climbing, walking, reaching, crouching, standing, pushing, pulling.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly stand, walk; use hands to grasp, move, or use objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must often climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally use sensory perception for quality measurement of products.
- Physical duties involved in performing this position include but are not limited to lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, bending, standing, crouching, reaching overhead and climbing.
- This position requires proper sanitation of the equipment, filters, tools and mechanical parts.
- Team members must also be able to lift 50-75 lbs., occasionally 100 lbs. Position supplies constant and continuous support to production and other departments.
- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut productions, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, soy, seafood, and shellfish.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- Temperature fluctuates with the season - colder during the winter/warmer during the summer.
- Working around heavy machinery - Hearing protection required in production area.
