Esports Supervisor (Full Time)

**Salary**: $46,663.00/year - $58,328.00/year

What qualifications are we looking for?
- Knowledge and experience in the Esports and video gaming sector;
- Ability to communicate effectively and work productively with multiple departments;
- Familiar with gaming software systems such as Discord;
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software systems quickly;
- Experience in staff/volunteer supervision and development;
- Embrace innovation and be willing to take initiative on new ideas;
- Skilled at working independently and within a team environment;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task;
- Current Intermediate (Standard) First Aid and CPR C certification (CPR recertified within the last 12 months);
- Evidence of a clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search;
- Three professional references.

What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

Duties and Responsibilities includes:

- Launch marketing and promotions plan both internally and externally;
- Assess physical and virtual spaces and ensure all areas are adequate for program launch and are well maintained;
- Setup, maintain and manage all the virtual platforms ie) LeagueSpot, Discord, Twitch and Nintendo online;
- Host weekly online tournaments, in-person tournaments and registered programs;
- Create program curriculum and lesson plans for tournaments, League program and Day Camps;
- Proactively engage with youth and solicit feedback;
- Manage a program and supply budget for each location;
- Recruit, develop, and oversee a team of staff and volunteers;
- Administrative duties including program statistics, participant communication, data entry, impact stories and reporting;
- Monitoring program through evaluations, benchmarks and KPIs;
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants at all times;
- Maintain positive relationships with relevant stakeholders in Calgary communities;
- Other branch or association duties as required.

The Esports Supervisor will facilitate programs and engage with youth in other areas of the branch and in the community. There will also be travel to other locations in the city for YMCA programming, meetings, trainings, and community engagement work. Working hours include evenings and weekends.
