Purchasing Analytical Buyer/Planner

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, refine, analyze and prepare demand forecasts methods and reports for assigned products per catalogue (Sales Analysis), using historical sales data, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, and developing statistical forecasting models.
- Analyze market trends and customer behavior.
- Analyze and interpret the results of the statistical demand forecast (Sales Analysis) and manage, place, and be responsible for issuing purchase vendor’s orders. Coordinate/negotiate with suppliers on lead times, quantities, prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Analyze various weekly inventory stock level reports and SKU reports, to prevent stockouts and excess stock, implement optimization strategies and appropriate action to resolve the stock issues.
- Incorporate promotional activities, large customer’s orders, Sale shows and product launches into demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with the GANZ management teams (Sales/Marketing/Product development/Compliance) to align forecasts with business goals.
- Resolve issues daily through ad-hoc analysis, communication, and quick action.
- Compute Cost sheets based on price/testing/freight changes to ensure target profit margin.
- Analyze/Prepare catalogue-end statistical report including inventory levels, averages, means, category analysis, future trend %, carry forward items etc. and distribute to stake holder.
- Ensure projections and any relevant information is updated in AS400 platform.

**Qualifications**:
3-5 year of demand planning / demand forecasting experience within the Wholesale/Gift/Supply Chain environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
- Experience with statistical demand forecasting and forecasting tools.
- Highly analytical skills and strong understanding of statistical demand trends and implications of projections.
- Ability to analyze reports with very large amounts of data, decipher/understand/interoperate the information and arrive at the appropriate forecasting/planning/buying decision.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from management, product developers, Sales and other internal departments.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, volume, moving/weighted averages etc.
- Comfortable with uncertainty and daily changes in a dynamic work environment.
