Door Manufacturing and Assembly Supervisor

Concord, Canada A Plus Premium Door Systems Full time

Provide leadership through establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with field staff and sub trades. - Supervise and develop supervised workers through regular feedback and training. - Coordinate with the Production Manager and support staff to ensure projects are completed timely, with high-quality workmanship. - Ensure that management is informed daily about quality, quantity, personnel, safety and any other issues that require attention. - Assigns and supervises workers in specific tasks, - Assist workers in job related activities. - Instructs workers in equipment operation, proper safety and removal procedures. - Provide hands on training of workers in maintenance, best practices and safety procedures. - Train and evaluate employees in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. - Ensure all tools and equipment are in working order and proper inventories are kept. - Address unsafe work practices and correct unsafe work conditions or practice. - Continuously monitor process for safety, quality, etc. - Examine workers’ equipment to ensure that they meet organization and government safety standards. - Maintain a safe working environment and ensure safety rules and all regulations are followed. Ensure protective gear is worn as required. - Maintains project records and communicates to designated team members when supplies are needed. - Work cooperatively alongside and support all team members and departments. - Complete documentation, including reports and project notes, and collect data as required. - Prepare production and other reports. - Attend and contribute to production meetings. - Any other job related, and support activity duties as required.

Related experience in manufacturing: 3 years - Supervising: 2 years - Education and training - secondary school. College or any related vocational training is an asset - Demonstrate leadership, problem solving, coaching, technical skills and interpersonal skills - Able and willing to promote harm reduction practices in accordance with core standards. - Able to foster positive and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues, community partners and volunteers. - Knowledge of organizing the manufacturing process, working with tools and simple machinery, - Ability to supervise the production plant, follow all rules and regulations to ensure the highest quality control possible - Proven superior customer service skills. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Able to work independently but also as part of a team. - Demonstrated computer literacy including Microsoft Office. - Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S and other productivity initiatives is an asset.

**Salary**: $26.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Work Location: One location
