This role will be integral in the construction of structural concrete elements for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. Below are the key details of the offer:
**Position Details**
- **Title**: Carpenter - Concrete Formwork
- **Employment Type**: Full-Time
- **Work Location**: Various job sites across Ontario, depending on project assignments. Travel is required, Toronto-Ottawa.

**Compensation & Benefits**
- **Hourly Rate**:$45.00 - $60.00 per hour

**Responsibilities**:

- **Concrete Formwork Construction**:
◦ Erect and dismantle formwork for structural concrete elements such as walls, slabs, columns, and foundations.

◦ Build and install forms and molds for concrete based on construction blueprints and specifications.
- **Concrete Pouring and Finishing**:
◦ Assist with placing, levelling, and finishing concrete during pours.

◦ Ensure all formwork is secure, properly aligned, and conforms to the engineering and safety standards.
- **Rebar Installation and Reinforcement**:
◦ Read and interpret plans to install reinforcing steel or rebar in formwork prior to concrete pours.

◦ Ensure the correct placement and tying of reinforcing steel.
- **Safety and Quality Control**:
◦ Adhere to all safety regulations and worksite protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

◦ Conduct inspections of formwork and ensure high standards of craftsmanship.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- **Experience**: Previous experience in concrete formwork, placing and finishing concrete, and installing rebar is required.
- **Tools and Equipment**: Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment related to formwork and concrete.
- **Blueprint Reading**: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and project specifications.
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
- **Safety Certifications**: Current certifications such as Working at Heights, WHMIS, and First Aid/CPR are required. Must have valid G Drivers License.

**Additional Information**
- **Work Hours**: 40 hours per week.
- **Start Date**: November 2024.

Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Concrete forming: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (preferred)
