Description
The Facility Operator position is responsible for the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of oilfield waste treatment, oil treatment and water injection. The Operator will actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs and environment protection. The Operator will be in constant contact with customers and must demonstrate excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service. Due to the nature of working conditions, the
Facility Operator is required to be physically fit in order to successfully perform the tasks and responsibilities of this role.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation of the facility
- Responsible for tank truck unloading, oil, emulsion, water & vac trucks
- Responsible for tank treating emulsion, transferring material to other facilities
- Responsible for waste processing, shaker & centrifuge operations and solids treating
- Managing ongoing water injection, filter changing and pump maintenance
- Conducting treatment of solids on the waste pad
- Conducting boiler operations, testing and steam system operations
- Ensuring that all facility and regulatory compliance programs are adhered to
- Participating in the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
- Ensuring solids processing is meeting or exceeding landfill criteria and solids testing
- Performing general maintenance, and following water injection Safety Operational Procedures and best practices
- Responsible for being on call
- Willing and able to work alone

**Qualifications and Educational Requirements**:

- A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years operational oilfield experience, or in waste processing oil treating / water injection, or similar work-related experience
- Training in boilers, treaters, pump, repairs, shaker/centrifuge, considered an asset.
- Knowledge on how to operate payloader and excavator safely is considered an asset
- Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined

Space Entry, WHIMS and TDG
- A strong attention to detail, communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices
- A valid and acceptable Driver’s license.

Education
**Required**

High School or better

Experience
**Preferred**

Specialty training in boilers, treaters, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge is considered an asset, excavator, and loader is considered an asset
A minimum of 2 years operational oilfield experience, or in waste processing and oil treating / water injection, or similar work-related experience

First Aid Level One C
Confined Space Entry
Trans of Dangerous Goods
H2S Alive
Driver’s License (Class 5, but 3A would be considered an asset)
WHIMS

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

- Halbrite, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
