**Summary**:
This position is designed for a forward thinking, collaborative educator who thrives in an experiential
learning environment and has a track record of innovative teaching and assessment practices. The teacher
must have experience with creating inquiry/project based learning experiences that explore big ideas and
concepts allowing students to succeed within an environment of complex knowledge construction as
opposed to simple information assignments. The teacher must have experience in differentiating instruction
for diverse learners. Students will be expected to demonstrate learning in authentic ways beyond the four
walls of a classroom and teachers will facilitate this as an integral part of the assessment cycle.
- The physical location is at Yale Secondary School.

**Education & Experience**:

- Major/minor in Chemistry
- Experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level
- Eligible for B.C. Certification
- Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports
