**POSITION**: Occupational Health & Safety Manager REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Operations
We are looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Manager to join our Operations team This role is primarily responsible for working with the Operations team to develop, implement, and manage the Occupational Health and Safety programs

This role will be challenging and extremely rewarding for an individual with high standards of integrity, energy level, and self-motivation to tackle pressing OH&S priorities as we continue to expand. You will have the opportunity to continually share your knowledge on sustainability opportunities, provide continuous improvement feedback, and champion safety for a progressive family-owned company

EXPERIENCE
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience working as an OHS professional
- You have a related post-secondary education
- You have 1-2 years of claims management experience
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Occupational Healthy and Safety Certificate/Diploma
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
THINGS YOU WILL DO
- Monitor, analyze, and implement effective occupational safety and health programs
- Coordinate with different stakeholders to deliver training/information sessions, manage risks, and develop safe work practices
- Chair monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings and facilitate Health & Safety polices and programs
- Provide monthly safety reporting, regular feedback on project status updates, and document incremental savings on WCB premiums
- Ensure the completion of comprehensive and results focused incident/accident investigations
- Maintain effective and progressive safety communication vehicles and coach team members on OHS policy and procedures
- Manage Worksafe BC related claims, monitor Return to Work programs, create Training & Development standards and more
OTHER
- Available to work flexible shifts and occasionally work various hours, as the job requires
