Wade Consulting Inc. (WADE) offers expertise in building science, structural engineering, and roof consulting. We work collaboratively with owners, developers, and architects to design new buildings, assess existing buildings, and make repairs that ensure long-term value and durability for our clients while meeting the performance requirements of our constantly evolving building codes.

**The Opportunity**

Since launching our roof consulting services in January of this year, demand has increased, prompting us to expand our roofing department by welcoming a new team member. We’re looking for a Junior to Intermediate Roofing Consultant to join our growing team in Edmonton.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct detailed roof inspections and assessments.
- Provide expert recommendations for repair, replacement, or maintenance.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and sub-consultants at all stages of the project to develop effective roofing solutions.
- Work with senior staff to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Prepare and assist with preparation of engineering documents, schedules, or reports
- Prepare and assist with preparation of plans, drawings, contracts, and technical specifications
- Perform and assist with project document reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, etc.)
- Interpret and analyze field review data to evaluate and make recommendations
- Perform field reviews and manage deficiency list
- Conduct contract administration tasks
- Provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- 1-5 years of experience in roof consulting or a related roofing or consulting role.
- RRO or ARCA designation
- Project Management experience and/or ability to interact with external stakeholders would be considered an asset.

**Capabilities**:

- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, construction techniques, and industry regulations.
- Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office 365 programs including Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Autodesk programs such as AutoCAD and Revit will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of current building and energy codes, ASTM, and CSA Standards
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are required
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deliverable-based environment
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrates effective communication skills - both written and verbal
- Self-motivated, fast learner with the desire to continually learn and grow.
- Hard worker, ready to assume responsibility quickly and have fun at the same time.
