Journeyman Painter

Foremost has an immediate opening for a full-time **Journeyman Painter** located at our facility in **Calgary, Alberta**. This position will work with the Lead Hand, Charge Hand and Foremen to ensure continuous improvements and perform tasks relating to his/her classifications.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with mínimal direction to all drawings, sketches, layout boards, etc., and/or verbal instructions
- Operate brush or spray equipment as required and is responsible for proper storage and handling of all paints and painting supplies
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of all Company owned finishing and painting equipment and facilities
- Assist less experienced personnel with work methods, work habits and performance.
- Perform other tasks related to his/her classification
- Other duties, as required

**Qualifications**:

- Must have certification from a recognized training facility, or has demonstrated the ability to meet the above requirements to the satisfaction of Management.
- Hand tools required
- Safety Training an asset but will train as required

**Additional Information**:

- This posting is for Day Shift
- Typical Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 10-Hour Shifts

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB T2E 8P9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Industrial Painting/Coating: 2 years (required)
- Light/Heavy Industrial Manufacturing: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Journeyman Certificate (preferred)
