Dayton Plumbing Services Ltd is a privately-owned professional plumbing service company servicing the GTA for over 20 years. We are looking to hire a 3rd-year apprentice or Journeyman Red Seal Plumber.

**Job Summary**:
As a 3rd Year Plumbing Apprentice, you will assist licensed plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will be expected to perform more advanced plumbing tasks under supervision and continue building your skills toward becoming a journeyman plumber. Safety, precision, and a strong work ethic are key components of this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform more complex tasks like connecting water supply lines, and vent systems under the supervision of a licensed plumber.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and suggest solutions based on your growing experience.
- Measure, cut, and install pipes and other plumbing materials.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure that all installations meet local codes and safety standards.
- Prepare work areas by gathering and organizing necessary tools and materials.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure job sites are clean and organized.
- Continue learning and developing skills through hands-on experience and formal training.

**Qualifications**:

- Licensed Plumber or 3rd Year Apprentice.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems and materials, with experience in residential or commercial plumbing preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Basic knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physically able to lift heavy materials and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

**Work Conditions**:

- Work is performed in various environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
- May involve working in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
- Must follow safety protocols at all times to avoid injury.
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

**Compensation**:

- Hourly wage commensurate with experience (based on local or provincial rates for 3rd-year apprentices).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
