**Responsibilities**:

- The incumbent will assist in photography and graphic design for the Division of Housing and Ancillary Services- Attend events and capture visual assets (photos, video footage)
- Stage and capture product photography for the food services and the bookstore
- Create and design marketing materials, including but not limited print and digital ads, posters, brochures, banners, billboards, videos, etc.
- Support planning and developing social media content
- Conduct market research regarding other schools’ marketing initiatives, visual presentation
- Review existing marketing initiatives, organize focus group discussion, collect feedback
- Assist in special projects in marketing and communications as required.
- The incumbent will take guidance from the Marketing and Communications Coordinator(s), and work productively and courteously with other members within the Division

**Education**:

- Currently attending Western University and returning to Western in the fall 2023 for full-time studies
- Preferred students enrolled in the program of Visual Arts, or Media and Information Technology (MIT)

**Experience**:

- Previous work experience in an administrative environment

**Skills, Abilities & Expertise**:

- Advanced computer skills with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), Final Cut or Adobe Premiere, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write in both marketing and journalistic style.
- Reliable and dependable with the ability to consistently work assigned schedule
- Ability to follow processes and practices with high attention to detail
- Demonstrates integrity and works in accordance with Western's policies and procedures
- Ability to multi-task, to prioritize and maintain an organized work environment,
- Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
- Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals
- Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements as applicable
